Coach/Assistant Coach(Part Time)

Job Description

  • Work with other Technical Staff, Administrative Staff and Club Members

  • Independently prepare lessons and drills for Indoor/Outdoor Season sessions

  • Run soccer program for children ages 10 through 16

  • Able to attend and complete CMSA Training requirements

  • Provides a safe and fun environment for children to develop in the game of soccer

  • Carry, assemble and disassemble soccer equipment such as portable soccer nets

  • Actively participate with the children in the soccer program

  • Communicate with participants and staff as needed

  • Send Game and Practice reminders

Qualification

  • Experience with sports coordination and/or coaching

  • Minimum Alberta C license or above will be an added advantage

  • Knowledge of the minor soccer landscape

  • Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Playing/coaching experience preferred with a focus on youth soccer coaching

  • Valid Alberta drivers’ license

  • A clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector search

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethics
